Beroun

The nice weather was reason enough to make a trip to the city centre and see some of its sights. We crossed the river and entered Hus Square through the Prague Gate, which dates back to the thirteenth century and used to house a prison. On the upper west end of the square, we saw the Pilsen Gate, which is somewhat younger than the Prague Gate and has been reconstructed in a markedly different style. We saw some coypu on the way back.
