Svatý Jan pod Skalou and the Peak of Autumn

As the pandemic worsens, people find solace in a variety of things. I, for example, have dedicated myself to long walks with my dog. The colours of autumn have just about reached their peak, and I dread the ugly weather we will have afterwards.

I took my camera out four times this week. The first batch of photos is from a short Tuesday walk to the forest. The second batch is from Friday, when I decided on a whim to walk three kilometres to a lookout above Svatý Jan pod Skalou, a picturesque little town with a monastery and a cave that was reputedly once the abode of Saint Ivan. The monastery itself dates back to the eleventh century. It has been a long time since I made this walk, and the towering trees seemed more magnificent than they usually do. There are many pictures, so I will upload the rest in separate posts.
